Jacqueline Kessler-Silacci obtained her Ph.D. from Caltech in 2003 in Physical Chemistry
for her thesis Gas and Dust Chemistry in Protoplanetary Disks. Dr. Kessler-Silacci is currently a
Spitzer Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin working with the Spitzer Legacy
team Cores to Disks. Her research interests are focused on disks around pre-main sequence stars
including infrared spectroscopy of dust composition and crystallinity molecular-line emission tracing
photochemistry and deuteration and models of spectral energy distributions of disks around brown
dwarfs T Tauri and Herbig Ae/Be stars.
