She has received an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering and a PH.D. in Astronomy from the University of Texas at Austin. Her thesis explored the stability of resonant asteroids in the Outer Belt using the elliptic restricted three-body problem. She worked with the McDonald Observatory Lunar Laser Ranging, and in 1997, she joined the outer Solar System and Near Earth Object Astrometry project. Recently she has started an investigation of NEA rotation rates.
