The Mass Assembly History of Galaxies
Niv Drory, University of Texas at Austin
abstract
We present measurements of the stellar mass function and the star formation rates of galaxies
selected from recent very deep multicolor and spectroscopic surveys (FDF GOODS) covering 0<z<5.
These datasets provide insights into the formation epochs and mechanisms of galaxies as a function
of mass and into the relative importance of star formation and merging for their assembly history.
