wcs_trs

This script tests the routines used in wcs_markII to perform a WCS solution using the TRS routines. 

 


% wcs_trs 20170903T095516.8_acm_sci.fits Y
Usage: wcs_trs 20170903T095516.8_acm_sci.fits Y
arg1 - FITS image to be calibrated 
arg2 - Run in debug mode (Y/N) 
NOTE: Must have wcs_setup.out already prepared

NOTE that my two exampls belwo do not (as of Nov18.2107) work for wcs_trs. The trs solution is good, but the WCS in the fits header is wrong. I did these examples on scohome: 

 
 /home/sco/play0  -  random acm image 20170903T095516.8_acm_sci.fits
 /home/sco/play0  -  n4625 stack
Need to fix this ASAP.

I have prepared some exercises that demonstartae he use of wcs_trs.

  1. Exercise 1: A WCS exercise from scratch.
  2. Exercise 2: A WCS exercise built with usno_identify.
  3. Exercise 3: A WCS exercise with no image flip.
These exercises can be used to test other WCS-related tools.
