Title: The Light Curves and Spectra of the First Cosmic Explosions

Author(s): Chris Fryer

Abstract: The formation and evolution of the first generation of stars is very different from the current epoch of stars. Here we review these differences, focusing on the photon emission from the supernovae produced from the first generation of stars. We introduce a method to model radiation-hydrodynamics calculations of these outbursts to study the shock break-out and peak-flux phases of the supernovae. We present both spectral and light-curve emission over a wide wavelength band, tying these results to our knowledge of the supernova engine.
