"Planets Around Giant Stars"
Post MS stars with low mass companions represent about 10% of the total number
of all known planetary hosts. So far, the most efficient method to detect them are
periodic measurements of their radial velocities. This technique is used in
PennState-Torun Planet Search conducted with HET/HRS, as well as in TAPAS
project - the follow-up for selected PTPS targets with TNG/HARPS-North. During my
talk I will briefly discuss methods used for precise RVs measurements and
present a new, planet-hosting, giant star recently detected within PTPS/TAPAS. I
will also review properties of exoplanets orbiting evolved stars.
