Title: AKARI Observation of CIB Fluctuations

Author(s): Toshio Matsumoto

Abstract: AKARI observed NEP twice in a month to monitor the performance of IRC, an infrared camera. We stacked images at 2.4, 3.2 and 4.1 microns for a 10 armin square field and obtained fluctuation maps by masking foreground sources. The maps clearly show structures at angular scales > 100 arcsec. These structures cannot be explained by zodiacal light, diffuse galactic light or clustering of faint galaxies, and could be Pop III in origin. The fluctuating component has a blue stellar spectrum, and a correlation between wavelength bands was found. These results provide important clues for the formation and evolution of Pop III stars.
