Title: Including Accretion Luminosity in Population III Star Formation

Author(s): Rowan Smith

Abstract: The determination of the typical masses of the earliest stars in the Universe is an important question both for theories of star formation and of cosmology. As yet, simulations of Population III star formation have generally neglected the effects of feedback during the assembly of the protostar. We present the initial results from the first 3D simulations of primordial star formation to include the effects of accretion luminosity. In particular we address the issue of how the accretion luminosity influences the early evolution of the protostar and its effect on the protostellar accretion disk.
