Title: Unmasking Ninja Galaxies in the Local Group as Fossil Remnants

Author(s): Joe Wolf

Abstract: I will discuss how the newly discovered Local Group ultra-faint dwarf spheroidal galaxies and the to-be-found "ninja" galaxies (those with surface brightnesses too faint to be detected with current generation surveys) play a crucial role in probing galaxy evolution at the epoch of reionization. I will also introduce a new mass estimator for systems spanning ten orders of magnitude in luminosity. Given this tool, I present a common mass scale for the local group dSphs, which implies the existence of a minimum mass in galaxy formation.
