Title: Protostellar Feedback Processes and the Mass of the First Stars

Author(s): Jonathan Tan

Abstract: I review the expected stages of primordial star formation once a hydrostatic protostellar seed has first formed. Accretion to this seed will be terminated by local feedback processes, which then determine the mass of the first stars. Predicting the strength of protostellar feedback requires a calculation of the protostellar structure and evolution, which may potentially be influenced by WIMP annihilation heating. Ionizing feedback is likely to be the most important process for setting the initial mass function of these stars.
