Title: High-Redshift Gamma-Ray Bursts

Author(s): Edo Berger

Abstract: The discovery of gamma-ray bursts at redshifts greater than 6 (and now up to 8.3) indicates that GRBs provide a powerful probe of cosmic re-ionization and galaxy evolution. In this talk I will review recent results on the use of GRBs as probes of the early universe and the metallicities of high redshift galaxies, and discuss future prospects.
