Title: Exploring Observational Parameter Space at Very High Redshifts

Author(s): Elizabeth Barton

Abstract: The low-background spectral region between OH lines in the near infrared and large-area synoptic surveys are two key regimes in which large ground-based telescopes and will excel at seeking first-light sources. I will describe some existing narrow-band searches for high-redshift galaxies, focusing on near-term surveys planned with 8-10m telescopes and longer-term plans with the next generation of extremely large telescopes. I will also discuss the hunt for high-redshift supernovae from deep time-domain surveys.
