Title: The Most Distant Galaxies: Theoretical Challenges

Author(s): Andrea Ferrara

Abstract: Understanding the nature of the most distant, high redshift galaxies now routinely discovered with available observational facilities is one of the key cosmological challenges in the post-precision-cosmology epoch. I will review the present status of the field with particular emphasis on the theoretical understanding based on the combination of numerical simulations and semi-analytical methods applied to the interpretation of the most updated data sets.
