McDonald Observatory

Phillip MacQueen is a Senior Research Scientist with McDonald Observatory. He received his B.Sc.(Hons) and Ph.D. from the University of Canterbury in New Zealand, and came to McDonald Observatory as a postdoc in December 1986. His institutional responsibilities include the high resolution spectrographs used for planet search and follow up, he was one of the designers and builders of the Tull Spectrograph and the HET HRS, and is currently their PI. He is a member of Bill Cochran and Mike Endl's Exoplanet group, is a member of the Kepler follow up project, and pays particular attention to instrumental performance and data quality issues for those programs at McDonald Observatory and the HET.
