COURSE OBJECTIVES
This course will provide the basic principles of modern cosmology and particle physics, as well as their connections. This course will be teach-taught by Prof. Komatsu at UT Austin and Prof. Dutta at Texas A&M. Prof. Komatsu will teach the expansion of the universe; the cosmic microwave background (CMB); and the large-scale structure of the Universe. Prof. Dutta will teach the review on properties of particles; dark matter; the big bang nucleosynthesis (BBN); and cosmic inflation.
TEXTBOOK: No required text book – lecture notes will be provided.
