Outreach

I believe that as scientists we have an obligation to share our results with the general public. Therefore I have been very active in public outreach. I am a regular attendee and contributor to Astronomy on Tap ATX, and have also appeared on the PBS documentary "Comet Encounter", which details the preparations made by astronomers in advance of the much anticipated apparition of comet ISON in November 2013. I am also a contributor to the new Ask an Astronomer page, where astronomers from the University of Texas field questions from the general public.
