3. Astronomers study the structure of the Milky Way galaxy using computer simulations of the motion and gravitational attraction of stars within the galaxy. However, planets are not included in these simulations. Explain why the simulation results can be accurate even when planets are not included.

5. Jupiter’s radius is 7.14 x 104 km. Earth’s radius is 6378 km. How many Earths would fit inside Jupiter? (Hint: the volume of a sphere is (4/3) π r3, where r is the radius.)
