Finding LRS2 and VIRUS observations of different types is made much easier with the tools discussed here. Soemtimes we just want to know the subdirectories for lrs2/virus data for a given date. The routine lvd can be used for this. As with most of my het tools, we use the BaseDir file to locate the top directory of the het data being surveyed, and the Date file to specify the date we are concerned with. You can see more examples of using lvd in the links given above. I use this routine a lot when I observe to determine which obs number will be used for the next image set I am taking. If nothing else, we can use lvd to confirm that our values in BaseDir and Date are valid.
The routine lvimages can be used to find types of images. Use the links just given to see examples of how to find, for example, the spc standards and twilight flsts for a given date. You can query by IFUSLOT and CC amplifier as well as by specific OBJECT header card values.
