The pickle-shaped area of an HET probe annulus is often referred to as a pickle. I some codes that build and use pickle files.

% het_gp_pickle.sh --help 
Usage: het_gp_pickle.sh 8.6 11.0 gc1
arg1 - inner radius in arcmin
arg2 - outer radius in arcmin
arg3 - probe name (gc1,gc2,wf1,wf2)

% pickle_stars --help 
Usage: pickle_stars pickle.xy cdfpcat dss.fits  
arg1 - file of pickle X,Y values (usually q1.pix)
arg2 - name of cdfp catalog of targets 
arg3 - name of DSS FITS mage (usually dss.fits)
arg4 - Xihmp_dss (IHMP X value in the DSS image) 
arg5 - Yihmp_dss (IHMP Y value in the DSS image)

Usage: pickle_filter.sh puckle.xyra stars.xyra 
arg1 - name of pickle xyra file (usually from xya_list.sh)
