I am a National
Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas
Department of Astronomy. My
research spans a wide variety of topics, from white dwarfs (the
remnants of dead stars) to supernovae (the explosions that end the
lives of some stars) to the growth of galaxies. A more specific and

I am also actively involved in various public outreach and teaching projects:
