Picture of Kurtis I am a National Science Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Texas Department of Astronomy. My research spans a wide variety of topics, from white dwarfs (the remnants of dead stars) to supernovae (the explosions that end the lives of some stars) to the growth of galaxies.
