I am currently a fifth-year graduate student at the University of Texas in Austin. I study galaxy dynamics, specifically I use Schwarzschild modeling to determine (among other things) the mass profile of dispersion-supported systems. My interests lie in characterizing the shape of the dark matter density profile in the central regions of elliptical and dwarf spheroidal galaxies, as well as measuring the masses of nuclear black holes. I am also interested in modeling the velocity anistropy in stars at large radii in elliptical galaxies.
