Due Thursday, Jan 31 in class

1. Calculate the relative strength of the gravitational pull of the Earth on your body compared to the gravitational pull you feel from a person standing next to you.

2. Calculate the relative strength of the gravitational pull of the Sun on your body compared to the gravitational pull you feel from a person standing next to you.

3. Summarize, in your words, the three ways discussed in class how to think of gravity. Can any of them be ruled out yet, and why (there are recent articles that you should use for this as well)?
