Trends and Scatter of Abundance Ratios Among Metal-Poor Turnoff Stars

Poul-Erik Nissen

Abstract

Very high S/N spectra of metal-poor turnoff stars have been obtained with the ESO VLT/UVES spectrograph and used to derive effective temperatures from the H-alpha line and abundance ratios from weak spectral lines. In the talk I will discuss the derived trends and scatter of ratios between the abundances of 6Li, 7Li, O, S, K, Ca, Fe and Zn. The results will be compared to previous data for halo, thick and thin disk stars, and to nucleosynthetic predictions.
