Thanks from the Liquor Czar
I want to thank all the Board of Visitors members and others who responded to my appeal in September and who have so generously given to the fund for the Board of Visitors Summer Meeting Liquor Fund. After expending $2,876.27 to pay for the July 2012 meeting's alcoholic beverages, I was left covering a deficit of $746.25.
By the middle of November, some 59 gifts and pledges had come in — a real outpouring (pun intended). As a result, the deficit has been erased and the Liquor Fund for summer 2013 stands at $6,503.75. That should either fund us for at least a couple of years, or else cover a serious upgrade in the quality of the wine served at the meetings.
